New AER Basscube II

four years in of owning and playing the AER Basscube 2 I have started to look for a replacement... I cant find one, nothing come close.. However I would like to do a comparison with Basscube 3! It weighs in 2kg lighter! As a band we now exclusively use AER amps, with a Bose PA and a roland cube for foldback.. The sound is awesome for small to medium gigs and sound engineers often comment on how easy the setup is to DI into a bigger rig.. I have no regrets on purchasing the Basscube.

STILL, I'm interested in hearing if there are other adopters that are as happy as Bob, and the others above. I'm also interested in hearing if users are NOT still infatuated with this amp. If not, what have you moved to?

It would take man or woman with more money than common sense to spend that much on a small combo amp lol. I feel as though my 25 pound Genzler 350 combo is better for 1/4 the cost.
I have an early AER BassCube that I love with upright bass. Deep, lush bass tones. I wish I could find a used BassCube 2 or 3 for sale.
When people say this is Too expensive.. It is not.. It is definitely the best value for money Amp I have ever owned.. I have played a bass for over 50 years.. But I am only now beginning to understand the true sound and value of bass, for the first time I can hear the true sound of my instrument and and as I play adjust my style and tone to compliment my fellow musicians. What happened? I got my ears sorted with some hearing aid, I studied Victor Wooten and then I got the equipment that set me free to play.. I got a Takamine TB10 and an AER BassCube. I am a very contented man.. Now I am ready to try an upright and develop a little further.. But the AER will remain as my go to Amplifier..

People were complaining on the radio about other people buying expensive tennis shoes. You know? Just like you get to share your opinion other people get to spend their opinion. If they ask you for budget advice give it. Otherwise butt out.
My friends son graduated high school and before going to college spent six months studying clarinet in Europe with the best instructor in the world. He carried with him two $25K clarinets. When we talk classical instruments this fuss about is a Fender Squire as good as a booteeqee becomes a joke. (Sometimes that Squire is as good

Really feed the poor do what you want. Educate someone it's just a choice. Me spending twice as much for said combo is no one else's business. If to me it sounds as good as one costing 4X as much than it does. If to the other player the 4X sounds better, than it does.
