Yep... after a month long wait, the MB112's are in stock at MF, all the way from the land of 1.6 billion Chinese citizens. Man them cats like to get busy. Anyway, this little amp is just flat out remarkable. I can't believe the amount of toneful power this thing has. A heads up to those of you in the market for one... I suggest you call MF to place your order, as I was looking in one of their catalogs and the price was $299.00, whereas on the website its $339.00. I mentioned the price difference
and they charged me $299.00. Shweet. I have yet to play it in a band situation, so we'll see. They haven't rectified the backwards XLR out
on it, so keep those credit cards (or whatever you may use) handy if you're using it. I'm considering getting a powered monitor (a 12" 100 watt) for those gigs that require more sound reinforcement without going through the PA. Does anyone utilize that technique? My reasoning is that I won't always need it, but when I do I'll be schlepping two 30 lb. items instead of one 68 lb. item (my current gigging amp is a Kustom KBA100). My balance isn't what it used to be, so lighter is better these days. Also, although I know its mentioned elsewhere in this forum, but the cooling fan only comes on when it needs to... it is not always running... so don't freak out thinking its defective if its not on, because it isn't.

No, it's just that once you plug the xlr cable in, the release button is between the cable and the tolex on the amp so it's impossible to get your fingers in there. I posted a pic of it somewhere on here (I'm using my phone to post, else I'd find it for you)

I've got an MB115 and I am quite satisfied with it, except for that danged XLR. I don't use the XLR out enough for it to be a major issue, but when I do use it, I have to stick a credit card in there to get it unplugged.

That being said, congrats on the new amp! Welcome to the GK Army.

I just bought a SVT 6 Pro today. I walked into Long and McQuade today to kill time. I turn right to head into the bass section and I am there for all of 10 seconds when I set my eyes on a new bass amp. Just as I set my eyes on the ampeg the sales man asks if I need assistance I think for a section then I ask to plug it in and well I guess you could say love at first sight. $600.00 used. Cant really beat the price, that amp woulda lasted no more than a couple more days in my town. I am Gonna trade my Genz Benz GBE 600 to offset the cost of it. The amp is great, tons of headroom to get a clear tone. With the parametric EQ you can dial in almost any tone you need. Its pretty simple too you dont have to fight with it a lot, you just need some time. I dialed in a sweet tone only within a couple of minutes and jammed with that night.

I agree. I use a 250w head into a single 112 cab for rehearsals/parties/small gigs and it’s plenty. :bassist:
