New Amp Day - Laney Nexus Tube

Laney have remaindered this discontinued Amp so these have been on sale for a mere £595.
Collection only so I schlepped one home in London from Halesowen near Birmingham.
Total overkill but a FANTASTIC wonderful dinosaur.
Just for Kicks played through Trace 1528 / Trace 1818t. Awesome
Then 1528 plus 2 x Laney Nexus N115 in a vertical array. My Favourite.
Pictures to follow with multiple expensive 6550 tubes glowing away. Heaven

Aren't these amps awesome!
I picked up a couple myself this morning, given that the total price of all the valves including a matched octet of kt88 is more or less the price of the brand new boxed and warrantied amp...it seems insane not to buy one...or two...
I had the intention of using them as a hifi monoblock slave amp pair through the fx return?

As it turns out the -10dB pad and variable tube/(super clean) fet gain stage means the front input can be run direct from a preamp and all those amazing functions on the front end can still be used.

The round trip to Dudley was rough, I think 6 hours all in, but oh so worth it...money well spent hey

I was spending more than I should so I bussed to Birmingham, bussed out to Halesowen.
Took the precaution of purchasing a very high rated aluminium parcel truck. Luckily
Started to p down rain minicab luckily booked in advance so back to bus station.
Tiring day- my neighbours now officially hate me
