IMHO that's the best rig you can buy before you start needing a road crew!

I have a PF50T into the 212 AVT bu the V4B will be my next purchase, amazing bass amp!

Is there remarkable difference in the perceived loudness of the two amps? Power numbers seem to have minor difference.

Way back when i first got the PF50T i had a loan of a brand new V4B that was one it's way to friend who didn't have an address at the time!

I played the PF50 through an Ampeg 2 x10 SVT cab and V4B through an Ampeg B series 4 x 10.

The V4B is definitely louder, but not by a great deal (switching cabs they were pretty much the same), i certainly wouldn't buy the V4B if my only goal was more volume.

I want to leave the PF50T hooked up to my DAW for recording and us the V4B for practive/jamming and gigs.

Congrats! You will love your V4-B. I've got a B15-S and an SVT at home, but it's the V4-B I play most often.

She's not wimpy; she's not monstrous. She's just right. I call her Goldilocks.

Noticeable but not night and day differences.

It's fun that everybody loves that rig for rock, while I just love it for groove. Perfect grain and low end, even for funk.

That's one additional reminder that there is no rule in the end.

Great pictures there. I have the same set up which after a few years trying different kit I have settled on this. The cab will open up and age like a fine Bordeaux wine. It is one of the best tones I have ever had live.

The dream comes true : I just picked up these from Bass Center (Paris, France)
Ampeg V4B and Ampeg SVT212-AV.

Amazing sound even though it's brand new. The 212 is much brighter than I expected when slapping, so I guess I need to play a bit more with my EQ and wait a bit for them to open up. Anyway, I LOVE the clarity of the sound.

But seriously. The look is truly AMAZING. Look at that with my Fender Ultra Jazz Bass !

Amen to that! I use the PF50T to play pretty much all genres that i play and it keeps up no problems at all.
