It'd be cool if they fixed the hum problem of the SVP-Pro with this thing. I hope it gives off the classic SVT tone.

My biggest problem is that I have to amplify a Stingray5 and a DB. So I'm going to need something pretty versatile.

Yeah, this will be cool if they're learned from their mistakes and avoid the default hum/noise of the SVP. I absolutely love the way ampegs sound.

Im currently using a Navigator and a Sansamp RBI. I use the Navigator alone when I want a more clean and refined tone for certain groups, and both when I want a versitile EQ, compressor, crossover etc... in addition to a little rock and roll grind. I use the Sansamp alone when Im with certain groups and all the benifits from the Navigator just subtract from the overall vibe, ie. when I need a lo fi sound.
Its an idea that you might have fun with.

I saw nothing about it on Ampeg's site. I chose not to buy an early 70s SVT in favor of a power amp, so if that thing sounds like it should, maybe that will give me the best of both worlds.

Obviously it isnt. I didnt see a 5 way ultra low know or two buttons for highs on any of the SVT CL heads Ive come across.harperWRD said:

Its probably just a bigger heavier solid state version of a similar PA power amp. Not even worth looking at unless its tube.Phyrexian said:

If its solidstate it could be very overpriced (at least over here in Europe)... only worth the money if its all tube.
