New Amps from Warwick - MC300/500

Pretty cool, Warwick makes great amps. Looking forward to hearing more. I'm a little surprised they're claiming you can use the BT connection to play through headphones, wouldn't the latency make it unplayable?
The latency is not a factor when you are simply playing along with an auxiliary input source. You will be totally in sync with the Bluetooth-delayed signal since that is what you are actually playing along with, not the pre-Bluetooth original.

I don't need another amp, but seeing a composite semi-vertical 410 in works is nice.

that should be a pretty convenient form factor and I hope, it will be light. and probably other cabs are upcoming as well.

not that I'm not satisfied by my crazy light composite MarkBass cabs, but having more choice is great.

Those level controls on the effects loop are nothing new.

I don't understand the prices, even the power amps (300W and 500W) are both more expensive than the Gnome Pro 600, which you can use as a power amp using the FX loop. Why would anyone buy the PA models then?

The Gnomes also allow you to directly plug into a PC/Mac and record too, apparently. So yeah the selling points on these are not as obvious as I first thought.

I really like the idea of a small amp designed for use with an external preamp but capable of being an all-in-one head solution in a pinch. Seymour Duncan was trending in this direction with the Powerstage but then got distracted and gave us bass players a traditional head under the Powerstage name.

Me too, but:
  • Any bass amp with a FX loop can be used that way
  • Why are the "PA" amps more expensive than the (smaller) Gnomes?
