There is a rumor that when Dan Armstrong first went out of business, that a wholesale music store in St. Louis bought all the parts and assembled them under the Electra brand. I had one of those guitars in the late 70's. Unfortunately, mine was so-so, but I understand some of the reissue basses that came out a few years ago were/are really nice basses.I know some frown on the fake Dan Armstrong, but it looks cool and plays nice so I don’t care, I love it

NGL, I'm most jelly of the rack tuner. No one makes a good one any more, [snip] I no longer use a rack, but wish some company would create an innovative product to replace and even expand upon those functions.
