New bass and amp day

So a few days ago I think I scored pretty good. Got a amped svt-5pro in a rack case with a strobe tuner,bbe maximizer and a furman power thing. Also a fake Dan Armstrong clearbody. I thought it might be a soso bass, but it’s actually a really nice bass. I’m pretty excited

Awesome find! It's nice to know I'm not the only one around here who's still rocking a SVT 5 Pro. It's a fantastic amp. Did it come with the footswitch and cables as well?

NGL, I'm most jelly of the rack tuner. No one makes a good one any more, and my old Korg DTR2000 died awhile back. I bought one of the new Pitchblack rack units and it's a chintzy piece of junk.

With all the new tiny class D amps, I would love it if someone would make a compact, maybe 6-7" wide and 1.5" tall tuner that you could just set on top and run either inline to the amp or just use the tuner out/send from the amp. Might need good rubber feet/padding to keep from jumping off, but whatever. Make if a dense/hefty little aluminum-cased unit that can run off AC power or maybe have a big 20,000-40,000 mAH power bank in it and some USB output for accessories or to chard your phone/iPad. That would help bulk up the weight so it doesn't get jostled too much by cables moving around.

It's ridiculous how much I miss a good rack tuner. I no longer use a rack, but wish some company would create an innovative product to replace and even expand upon those functions.

There is a rumor that when Dan Armstrong first went out of business, that a wholesale music store in St. Louis bought all the parts and assembled them under the Electra brand. I had one of those guitars in the late 70's. Unfortunately, mine was so-so, but I understand some of the reissue basses that came out a few years ago were/are really nice basses.

I know you're thinking about a tuner that suits little class D amps, but... there are great rack tuners out there.

I wish it was short scale, it’s heavy, though doesn’t bother me. Funny thing is I just bought a Peterson floor strobe tuner. That rack is too heavy for me to even put on my cabs!
