I bought this from another talkbass user about a week ago, and wanted to make a post about it for posterity, since there is very little information about these basses online.
Egilegor is a custom builder out of Spain. I was pretty hesitant to buy this bass because I had never heard of this brand, and there is next to nothing online in the way of reviews. However, I really fell in love with the freaky body shape, and it was for sale for a good deal, so I decided to go for it, and I'm glad I did. It's a black korina body, padauk neck (very orange and striking from behind), and a wenge fingerboard, pickup covers, and knobs. I'm fairly certain it has Nordstrand Big Singles in it, covered with those custom wenge covers, but I'm not 100% sure. I haven't felt like taking the pickups out yet to investigate more. Unfortunately, the wooden stacked knob cracked, but I have some new ones on the way. It also has a push/pull, but I can't really tell what it's supposed to be doing.
The build quality is pretty great, there are some spots with some nice attention to detail; the unique neck pocket, the wooden accessories and control plate, the comfortable asymmetrical neck (thicker near the nut, thinner near the neck pocket), all give it a premium feel. The body is a lot smaller than I expected. I'll include a photo showing a size comparison between a Dingwall D-Roc and a jazz bass. The bass weighs in at about 7.5 pounds. It's a little bit neck heavy when standing, but when sitting, it balances really well on either leg.
