Also, it came with this odd, but very cool and functional single coil thumb rest... Has anyone ever seen that before?

Nice!!!
That pickup ring is really cool too.
Rock it.
And be careful pulling LB flats through the body.

I've never done string-through-body before. I know labella makes a set of through body flats, and that it is apparently a pain. Is there anything unexpected that I will need to know? Is there a noticeable difference in tension/sustain over bridge mounted? I just want to try it because this is the first bass I've had where I can.

Congratulations, very cool bass! The thumb rest is a nice surprise.

Like @Killing Floor said, be careful puting flat strings through the body, some of them are not suitable for that. I ruined a set of LaBella DTFs that way, the E string broke on the contact point with the saddle, and it was at 45° angle (Yamaha BBPH bass).

From what I understand the Labella 760FS-TB Deep Talkin' Bass Flats – Standard 45-105, Thru-Body are not just longer but also tapered at the saddle/body holes to make that break angle easier. That being said, I have yet to try it out. Thanks for the advice, I will keep it in mind.

I’ve installed Roto 77 and TI through body before. I know some LaBella carry a warning about through body and they apparently do make some for through. So make sure you get the right ones.

I use the DTF on my fretlesses. If they’re your preferred strings I’m sure they have a solution. Here’s the link to their guide. See first page, just don’t want you to think I made it up lol. It lists the option you’ll need.

Nice!
I played one / got one for the 1st time this summer - absolutely fantastic bass!

Wait - what? At 1st I though I was looking at 2 different basses!
You got to find out what that is and let us know!
It's dual purpose - adds some protection to the pickup / windings as well.

The GHS Precision Flats never gave me any trouble when stringing through the body. I believe the LaBella DTF's specifically say NOT to string through the body. But I've done it quite often with the GHS Precision Flats. Doesn't seem to bother them, and they're excellent flats IMO.
