New Bass Day

This came while I was at work. Wanting to get home to new gear makes for a very long day.

Great! I got one too last month, 2015. To me, bridge pickup in humbucker (down position?) and neck pickup in single (middle position?) sounds like heaven. I actually got in this bass what I had been looking for in a jazz bass for a very long time. It gives me that articulation without any effort, specially to play flamenco (bridge pickup). Enjoy it!!!

Yeah I had my first Corvette some time around 2012. I don’t even recall what the pickup configuration was. Worse yet I don’t remember what I did with it.

I’m sure I sold it, but I really have no recollection of that. I wouldn’t be totally shocked if I found it stuck in a closet somewhere.

I do remember that I was quite fond of it. I loved the neck and the way it played. So when it came time to buy a new (to me) bass, it was a Corvette.

Now I’m slowly building a fire under the desire for a new Rickenbacker 4003.

Maybe in a few more years I’ll get that fire really burning.
