New bass dilemma

Ok, so I finally decided to go with an american standard jazz 08' model. And decided I wanted the blizzard pearl finish with a maple neck (after much deliberation). The bass centre didn't have one in that colour with a maple board, and told me they can order it but it will take around 8 weeks. It could be 6, but it could also turn out to be 12 weeks.

My dilemma is this, do I order it and wait 2, possibly 3 months, or do I just hang out an extra couple of months until the 2009 models are out?
Or do I buy something else Im interested in such as the 51 Precision reissue or a highway one jazz to tie me over for now.

Im currently not gigging, jamming and making do with a squier Precision.

Before you buy, you owe it to yourself, to check out the Lakland Skyline Series. Just my opinion.
+1 on the skylines, ive had u.s. jazzes and pbasses and i like my skylines more. i have 4 of em' but if you must get the blizzard pearl fender try the perfect bass, they give a 10 percent discount to talkbassers. im sure you can find one online w/out having to wait 2 months
