New bass head - Ampeg PF350

Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie from London England, just got a new bass head as above. First of all absolutely love the Ampeg tone and this is perfect for me.
My question is what cab is best for this head, at present I have an old Trace Elliot 8ohm 4x10 cab.
My bands style is post-punk/new wave and im using an American 2006 Fender Jazz bass running on flats.

"Best" is subjective. What is good for one person might not be perfect for another.

For me, I really like my PF-500 with an efficient 215, greenboy DuallyT.

If you love the Ampeg tone then get an SVT-810E.

If you're all about Ampeg tone and dig the PF series head, check out the PF410 cab. It'd probably compliment your head pretty well. I find that an Ampeg head with a GK cab is my cup of tea.

If I was going to buy an Ampeg cab, right now my top choice would be the PF-115LF. Two of them would be pretty sweet.

If you're looking to go Ampeg with the cab, I'd seriously consider 2 210AVs. Great with the PF350!

Cheers guys, at mo I have a trace elliot so prob test run that at gigs but ideally I would want to keep with the ampeg cabs.

Is that an micro vr cab you're on about?

Yep. 2 of them makes a nice 4-10 vertical stack.

Yep. PF350 and 1 210AV is a great small/medium gig setup. Depends, of course, on the size of the venue, whether or not you have FOH, etc.

A PF-350 into one or two G-K Neo 112-II cabinets, in a rig of beauty and amazement.
One is beyond sufficient for pub gigs IMO.

I've got the cheapest 4x10 cab Eden makes paired with my PF350, and it slams. Great tone and pretty impressive volume.

What makes it your cup of tea? Whats the difference (to your ears) compared to using a, say, ampeg cab?

GK cabs sound more "open" to me. Much more hifi with an even amount of lows, mids, and highs.
