New Bass Head Recommendations

Hey Guys

I recently had some gear stolen off me. That being some of me pedals and my Hartke 3500 bass head.

So now I'm in the shops for a new bass head.
I play in a death metal band on a 6 string shector tuned to C standard.

I use a lot of tapping, sweeping, and slapping to emphasize breaks and low end riffs.

I've got about $1000 to spend.

Thanks
Jannico

for a grand why not look into a local guy to build you a custom tube? in that range you can't probably get loads of power, but that budget def has one-off tube in it if you trust going to the house for support. my local guy said 1000 to 1300 should be able to get any 100 ish watt cloned. he also suggested to me i find an old but working PA head that was all tube. he said stacking the input tubes is relativey staightforward for an experienced amp guy. sorry but i think going to house pa is only a small price to pay for a lovely tone.

i envy your budget, so maybe i'm thinking outside your comfort zone. would i be out of bounds pointing out 1000 bucks should easily put an SVT in you hands?
