New bass instructor ( I want to learn Jazz )

Dude, I am so glad you're still at it.

I did tell you the plateaus are going to keep happening but that's also where most of your progress actually happens. I also said this is the best time to update your lists from scratch and start setting up your new strategy from your new point A and a new point B.

I am playing 5 string in 4 different bands down here including a Pink Floyd tribute band. I think you would like one of my bands; Killing Time. I am the token old guy with everyone else is half my age and we play Sublime, 311, RHCP, Led Zep, Radiohead, Incubus etc. The other bands are a blues trio and classic rock covers.

The teaching is going great and you know you are ALWAYS welcome and you can still ask me stuff and call me too, if you just want some advice.

My email is just my name @ yahoo, gmail, aol and live.coms

Great to hear from you, my friend!

yeah man! I've always kept that plateau advice in my head; It's proven to be true, however the plateau's can be quite frustrating! I just always struggle with my ear you know? Somedays my ear is dead on, other days I feel tone deaf. It's a journey. I really need to just get back to trying to play through my favorite albums, past year i've mostly been trying to play out of my comfortzone (different styles with bands and lessons) because I felt like I was way too locked into the reggae-rhythm .. But i think thats just me, personally and musically. So i'm going back to what got me wanting to play bass and get my momentum back.

I'll give ya a email If i got time next time i'm in south florida, would be cool to check one of those bands out!
