Anyone have any advice on drilling from a rear electronics pocket to the pickup holes (no pickguard) on a homemade jazz bass? I have a really long drill bit, and thats about it...
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just go in at a low angle and check it by sight 2-3 times before you hit the trigger. And remember that unless you are using active p'ups (like EMGs) you need to run a ground wire to the bridge too.

hmmm... The bass in the first picture was Ash, for sure...

But alder works. just not quite as grainy/pretty.
