New Bass??

I have been playing for about 2 years and a half. I play funk, Rock and blues. I guess my Harley Benton Blue Burst has served me fine up until now but I think I'm done with my bass and want to get something new.


What do you guys recommend?

My Bass requirements:
be a good slapping bass
easy to play on
cost between 400-1000$
High quality
an average bass or expert bass

P.s: I assume it should last me the next 2-4 years. And i want to buy a new bass i´m not interested in the used market

You have lots and lots of choices around that price point. Sorry to keep hitting you with questions, but you might get more responses if you are more specific:

What kind of music do you play? Would you want something new or would you be interested in the used market? Personally, I would try and pick up something used, but I wouldn't have a clue what the used market is like in Denmark

I like buying from the TB classifieds, but it might not really suit your budget because of shipping costs etc...

Answer what? Do you have any idea how many choices there are between $400 and $1000? Hundreds. There's no way anyone here can make an accurate suggestion of what's right for you.

You said you want a bass that's comfortable to play. That's 100% completely subjective. Just because a particular bass is comfortable for one person doesn't mean it's comfortable for everyone else.

Why do you want whatever you buy to only last 2-4 years?

Why do you only want to buy new? Are you planning on buying this bass mail-order based on suggestions here without ever playing it?
