I know I am not the only fan of Birdsong basses on this forum and I wanted to let everyone know that the company will be offering a new model sometime soon. If you follow Scott and the company you know he posts weekly updates on a news page. This week he mentioned designing some new models, including something entirely new. I asked him about it and the new model is going to be a semi-hollow/hollow body bass! I am in line for #001 and it is still in the planning phase. He told me it was not a secret and that I could mention it, but he wasn't sure when he would have more info about the model on the website. Scott also said that the bass will be a one pickup model, somewhere in between the neck and middle position. It wouldn't surprise me if this was introduced during the July 4th anniversary sale Scott does each year, but that is just speculation on my part. Definitely going to be something to keep an eye on, and I will certainly post more pics/info as I become aware of it.
