Many knobs and switches, loud and clear. Had a rehearsal yesterday and used my Darklass 212. The rest of the band in the Bose Pa not me. Singer said have you always played that way, and one of the guitar players said I should turn down. That is a god sign. My apple watch complained over the rehearsal volume, slightly over 100 db most of the time. I use to have my Mesa TT 800 with this band. Fx and comp work great, cab resonance also. A bit lower volume when using the drive section. You can probaly tweak it with the Boss Tone Lab or just turn on the master a bit. So far so good.anyone here that's used this new amp?
Thanks. Did you end up keeping it?Many knobs and switches, loud and clear. Had a rehearsal yesterday and used my Darklass 212. The rest of the band in the Bose Pa not me. . While waiting , I bought a 1x10 Barefaced cab off Ebay that should be here in three days ........can't wait !
The amp seems almost perfect from watching the vids from Anderton's and Bass The World .Amateurish, agreed. This is the reason I did not get the thing. Waiting for the next model. Boss/Roland has had a weird history with bass amps. I was always intrigued but never pulled the trigger.Interesting and thanks. I thought there was also an issue as to how peak power is measured. So, given this formula, this head would be rated at 125 watts RMS at 8 ohms; which was my guesstimate in a prior post. I still don't like the fact that Boss doesn't market using RMS. Descriptions such as saying the head "packs 500 watts of gig-ready low-end power" is amateurish IMO.
Howdy yall, btw i wanna let yall know that the boss katana 500 has been reduced to $650 everywhere i have looked.
Sorry ebozzz, i stand corrected its not on sale everywhere but checking again, Guitar Center and Musicians Friend both have them on sale for $200 off. Btw, my local mom n pop music store was happy to match that sale price. At $650 i couldn't pass it up. Peace
