New Cab Recommendations for Ampeg SVT-2 Pro

Hey guys,

Looking for cab recommendations for my Ampeg SVT 2-Pro. I play a Fender Jazz and need enough ass to keep up with 3 guitars, drums, keys and vocals for indoor/outdoor gigs. Was looking into the Fender Neo 610s or a Berg NXV410 considering the NV610s are impossible to find these days. Had an Ampeg fridge back in the day that I sold, and did really like it except when it was time to move it.

Any other recs?

My 2 does very well in 410hlf cab.

For portability I would consider two small 4 ohm cabs. You can use one or both with the SVT. A pair of the 212AV would be a nice modular stack, I ran a pair of the 112AVs with my SVT and was sufficiently loud for my band outdoors, but if you needed to maximize output for a dense mix like that a pair of the 212s would do it. They’re ported cabs but with a high LF roll off which gives them a similar feel to the 810E.

My SVT-II (non-pro) sounds truly amazing through my Mesa subway 215 cab.

It's an 800-watt, 60lb. 4-ohm cab and has a tilt-back handle & casters like the fridge & NV610. I still love my NV610 that I've gigged for the last 20 years, but this subway 215 sounds even better, it loves clean or heavily overdriven tones, cuts through a dense stage-mix with ease and is just as loud as my NV610 if needed.

Only bummers are ~ it's very expensive, curently difficult to find any shops that haven't already been sold out of inventory, & it's only 19-1/4" wide; so my SVTRC head-case overhangs it.
