New Cabs WOW

finally broke down and decided it was time to rethink my rig.

first off I have had a very on and off love affair with my old peavey 3620D

for those of you unfamiliar with this monster is is loaded with 2 18 inch woofers and 2 10 inch woofers. Very powerful lots of fundemental but it was always just missing that something. You could never put a finger on it but I geuss the word was luster.

So I took the randall rb2000 and the kramers down to the local guitar center and plugged into these.

a single 4 x 10 and 2 1x15's.

aboslutely in love. In fact I would dare say the SBX series which is supposed to be a step up sounds like a step down.

I tried the Ampegs of all models. They just sound flat and lifeless. I tried every cab Guitar center carried and came back to these every time.

Bright punchy detailed any tone you want these deliver and the best part is that Guiatr cetner Blew these out for me for the 3 piece set at a ******** cheap $699 for all 3 cabs.

I will keep updates on how these hold up behind my Randall.

In summation good stuff cheap. How often does that happen.

I have to agree with you on the sound of these cabs. I have been using a Peavey Combo 115 for the past 7 years and am in the process of upgrading. I purchased the Goldline 210 a couple months back and am looking to add the Goldline 115 Cab. I was testing at GC through the GK 700rb amp and think that for my ears these goldline speakers have a fuller cleaner sound. My goal is to get either the Goldline 500 amp or the 700. They did not have the Goldline 500 at GC when I was testing, but I think it would be nice to be able to match to the cabs.
