As an "offshoot" of my main lutherie business, I have made 2 basses (pics attached). I'm designing a new bass now (each one is a one-off), the design though, dictates that the Precision pickup I want to use, is placed closer to the bridge than I would have though is a good spot - is there an ideal spot for the P pickup for the most even string sound?
