New Custom-built Adamovic is nearly ready!

Hey Guys and Gals!

The wait is nearly over for my new custom-built bass from Adamovic! This is a bit of a treat, as very few (if any) of you have heard of this Bass builder.
Here are the work in progress pictures from over the past few months:-

Also, to get an idea of how it will roughly look when finished, here are the photos of the original prototype built for me earlier this year:-

The original was great but we fine tuned a few things to get it perfect for my playing style and tone such as, the switch positions, neck joint and electronics. Sound-wise, I was aiming for a cross between my Warwick thumb and Fodera Monarch which was extremely successful. :)

Hope you like it as much as I do! Will give a review next week once the finish has dried and final assembly is complete!
Let me know what you think so far!

Best regards and Happy new Year to you all,

Andy

Looking good. Never heard of the luither but he seems to know his salt.

You realise that you have committed yourself to providing pictures and possibly sound clips together with a detailed review.
Uh oh, gotta provide the whole lot now then!
Will let you everyone know all the details a.s.a.p. ;)

The prototype was already the most comfortable Bass I've ever played while standing up, so this one should be amazing!

Of Course. Here are the main specs. as requested:-

Body: Flamed ash top, walnut body
Neck: 5-piece wenge/maple/wenge/maple/wenge
Fingerboard: Wenge
Pick-up: EMG TW
Electronics: Aguilar OBP-3 (18v)
Finish: Oiled
Scale: 34 inch
Neutrik locking Jack
Hipshot D-tuner and hardware
Graph-tech nut

Not sure about the exact spacing, but its nothing unusual or wide.
The electronics will be set up with three knobs (one dual) and two switches(to be placed just below the bridge) as follows:-
Volume (with push/pull Active/Passive)
Bass
Treble/Middle (Dual concentric)
Switch one: Single/Dual Coil mode on the EMG Pick-up
Switch two: Mid Frequency Shift

Let me know if you would like any other details!

Cheers!

I think the photograph makes it look a little thicker than it is (we all gain a few pounds in front of a camera! ha ha! :D ). The whole thing is quite compact which is great for me as I'm not a huge build. We tried to make it as small as possible with the normal scale length, instead of resorting to 33 inch scale which I was considering at first.

Nikola at Adamovic has only recently moved into Bass building full-time, but has been building/reparing for quite a while part-time. His Basses are superb!

Haven't seen a chambered body from him yet, but am sure it's an option!
