I have never been able to understand why so many people take time out of their lives to:
A: Listen to bands they obviously don't like and never have liked, over and over again apparently (going through the trouble to download their new album before it's even released? C'mon. What, did you expect them to all of a sudden sound like Queensryche or something?)
B: Specifically go into threads about those bands just to tell everyone else how much they hate that band. Trying to convince other people that their opinion is the only correct one.
It's rediculous. Do you guys search for Britney Spears threads and videos on youtube too? Just so you can tell everyone how you hate her new album, even more than you hated all her previous ones? It's rediculous. You have a mind of your own, just like everyone else. If you don't like Dragonforce, then just don't pay any attention to them. Spend the time listening to music you DO like instead. Crazy concept, I know

Hahaha, reading all this remembers me when I first heard 'em. I listed to loads of junk, the more aggressive the better. So I was talking to a friend about some of these bands and he tells me he has some really hardcore metal, from a band called Dragonforce, though the name kinda made me raise an eyebrow, I thought I'd still give it an honoust try. So the guy grabs out his MP3-player and lends me an eyepiece. As he searches for the song he tells me it's really hard and aggressive, he also tells me the song is called "Through the fire and flames". At this time I'm having my doubts, I never really liked long "regular" metal (the Dungeons & Dragons, evil lord kind). So as he turns on the song I facepalm, thinking to myself, what the heck is this!? After enduring a couple of minutes the solo comes up, I never, ever liked long guitar solos and at that time I was looking forward to getting my first bass, so I felt a certain bassist patriotism, making me resent it even more.
The guy looked at me and asked what I thought. I laughed and told him that if this was the most aggressive metal he should never listen to the stuff I listen, it might just make him cry.
A couple of months later another friend and I were looking up the worst music videos we could think of, and he showed me the TTFAF video clip, I almost wet myself at that time
