New dude intro

Hi, new member. I played bass from 97-2001. Got out of music then started playing guitar and collecting them. My wife now plays guitar and is better than I am. My youngest son in interested in keyboards and my older son started on drums. So that leaves me to moving to bass, which is not a bad thing as it was my first love. I went out last weekend and bought a Fender 64' custom shop jazz, Fender player II Pbass and a Gibson SG bass. I still need to get and amp and cabinet. My bass influences are, John Entwisle, Steve Harris, John Paul Jones and Geddy Lee. Looking to learn from the community and meet some virtually friends along the way. Im happy to be here and looking forward to getting to know you all. Cheers.

Welcome. You'll find most anything you need to know here and if not, someone will always jump in and contribute. I would suggest looking at the classifieds for your amp and speaker(s). Enjoy!

Sounds like you’re looking at a family band. Nice basses you bought last weekend. You’ll need an amp that’ll keep up with your son’s loud drumming!
