That necks dry, being that you are in Texas its no surprise, get some lemon oil or variation of it on there and Im sure you will be more pleased with the coloring.

Also that CV has a Rickenbacker USA Sticker, means its worth 10 times more $100? They just gave that sucker away, steal.

Not into pastels but I make an exception for that color scheme. I would put some line art on it, like tribal motifs or pin stipes.

honestly, I don't want to keep buying basses, but people keep giving me deals that I just can't refuse! I just bought this Squier classic vibe precision in sonic blue for $100. It has a big ding on the lower horn, but other than that is in pretty good shape. Plus it came with a free stand, and is already strung with D Addario chromes !

I am pretty sure that they are stock, but not 100% sure. I'm not super familiar with the CV series as far as the individual parts.
