New EHX Bass Clone Chorus

Liberated some space on the board and now gassing for this. Read about the pros and the hiss, any other cons about it ?
Not really, this pedal has no right being as good as it is, especially considering the price. My only extremely nit-picky issue with is it is that it doesn't get quite as wild via the depth knob than some other choruses I've used, which was useful on occasion. The crossover on it gets it pretty damn close to my 70's EHC Clone Theory.
The only con I can think of is you don't have it on your board, this minute... I love mine!
I get no hiss from mine. The feature set is perfect for my needs. I find this to be a very usable pedal. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
Got mine a couple days ago. Very impressed with the abilities of this pedal. Most choruses, even bass ones, tend to drop bottom out when on. You will not experience this with this pedal. You can actually roll too much in!! This unit is well thought out with the dry/wet mixing to keep the bottom end. Price? Ridiculously good for the $68 it costs. Lots of range too. Can get close to a flange effect.
I got rid of mine a while back, but I have another coming. $55 from Prymaxe, hard to beat for that price.
I still want to get my OG small clone back just because it sounds so good. But maybe I'll just get one of this one instead@!
Nothing touches this pedal for the money. I dig the small size as well. Takes up less space than a typical boss pedal. Prior to this I used a DOD Ice Box chorus (guitar) and it worked pretty well. It's a more subtle effect though and even wide open doesn't get what I need sometimes. The BC can get pretty wild sounding, but the effect is usable even in those extreme settings where most others are just racket cranked. Could not be happier with it. Worth double.
I don’t really need the this pedal, I have, use and love the Boss MD500 for stuff like that. But I am always playing around with second/home pedal boards and I am always missing chorus after I lent my OG small clone out to a buddy. For the price, the EHX BC is a no brainer and would be good to have around just in case or to just jam at home with.
@gregmon79 yeah at the price, it's tough not to have one. Same argument for the new little Big Muff Pie reissue.
I compared this two chorus pedals, do you hear any difference?
I can definitely hear the Small Clone in the Bass Clone with the B/C tone controls at noon and the X-over off (down). The fun part is I can take the B/C where the S/C can not go. X-over on (up) and moving one or both tone controls away from a 50/50 mix subtly changes the texture of the modulation. IMO EHX hit it out of the park with the Bass Clone.
Mine showed up today and got a few minutes of playing time with it. I have a modest home board, doing double duty for both bass and acoustic guitar and after a little research, I figured this pedal would do a decent job for both at a price inside my current comfort zone.
Sounds good on bass, with both the X-over switch on or off. I'm finding a little low-end loss with the switch on (up), so I have to jack the bass knob at around 2 oc-ish. There's also an internal trim pot, but since the manual doesn't refer to it, I didn't touch it.
You guys finding the same low-end issue with yours ? Any fooled around with the trim pot ?

The x-over cuts low-end from the modulated signal, so rather than cutting bass you could think of it as adding treble and mids on top of your non-chorused tone. This is useful because modulation in the low end can create a bunch of mud, so this helps retain your punch.

*Edit: Just to be clear, I wasn't referring to the trim pot... suggesting time with the unit would allow him to find the sound/effect he was looking for.

Do not adjust the little internal trim pot on this one. It's used to set an internal bias to make sure the modulated signal sounds right. If you adjust it, there really isn't an easy way to get it back to what it's supposed to be without sending it back to us to be re-calibrated.

This pedal sounds real good on bass !!! Final Settings not fixed yet, but bass around 12:30 oc, treble 2, rate 10 and depth noonish seem to work for now.
