It does... they both use the new GM RWD Zeta platform. It underpins both the new Holden Commodore (on which the Ute/possible new Elkie is based), the new Camaro, and a new range of Pontiacs.

You won't want for power... the HSV Commodore has a 6-litre V8 with over 400hp.

That came out wrong. I do know that it's on the same Zeta platform.

I meant it as a reply to being a lowered pickup truck. This is by no means a truck and built from the ground up on the same platform as the Camaro.

There, I said it so it makes sense, I think.

Not very accurate either. The 69's didn't have the striping around the hood like that. The 67's and 68's did.

Edit: I've seen only 1 '69 with a similar hood decal, but not like that.

I'm not really feeling it. I don't really like any of the new cars these days. I love El Caminos though. I've been wanting one for a long time now, but can never find in decent shape for a good price.
