New Fender Active Deluxe?

So have you heard anything about Fender updating/making new Deluxe Active basses? Tried the search button but didn't find anything, although have heard some rumours here and there.
Which bass are you speaking of? The MIA bass or the MIM bass? Actually the MIA dlx basses have been whittled down to just having downsized bodies made of ash or alder. No more FMT'S or active Custom Shop custom classic basses. MIM dlx basses have full size bodies and are basically the same as the standard MIM bass with the exception of active electronics and noiseless pups. It is only offered in alder with a rosewood neck.

Played a mim deluxe J and a mim '70s J reissue (sunburst/rosewood/blocks) in the store and didn't like them that much...I mean they were pretty nice but compared to MIA's.....There was a nice 2009 MIA J (sunburst/maple neck) which was really good but also not as good as some other 2008-2009 J's I've played before... (damn, my ears are tuned to the real vintage ones :D)

Yeah, I thought something similar as happened with the MIA Standard line in 2008, I hear that these are great instruments, I have a passive 4 string jazz (mim) and now am looking for something different - 5 string, active, more frets etc. I think Fender will be coming out with something new (well I guess they should), cause as it was said before a lot of good instruments have been discontinued. I guess winter Namm 2010 should be bringing something new.
