Which bass are you speaking of? The MIA bass or the MIM bass? Actually the MIA dlx basses have been whittled down to just having downsized bodies made of ash or alder. No more FMT'S or active Custom Shop custom classic basses. MIM dlx basses have full size bodies and are basically the same as the standard MIM bass with the exception of active electronics and noiseless pups. It is only offered in alder with a rosewood neck.So have you heard anything about Fender updating/making new Deluxe Active basses? Tried the search button but didn't find anything, although have heard some rumours here and there.

Yes it is! I own an MIA FMT V that's awesome and very close to the Custom Shop custom classic! I have no idea why it was discontinued! I own a Custom Shop custom classic and those are also discontinued! I own a Victor Bailey and that price has gone up $1000 since I got mine! All of these are basically upgraded MIA dlx basses. And this is a crying shame.
And this is a crying shame.
Man after my own heart!Roger that. Two of their finest pieces. (Note the sig...)
quit yer whinin' and buy used.
