The painted headstock and black electronics cover are a major cosmetic improvement.Very nice, black items make it look good and unique.
I agree. I had these on an FGN J bass a few years back. Super solid tuners. You don’t seem them around too much. I like them.Gotoh GB11W tuners (really, really nice)
Yea, awesome. Love the 70s style. Great find.Well, I bought it off an eBay seller for a really good price.....however, I too question if it's legit or not. Most U.S. Fenders don't have the truss rod access like that. Good news is that the fretwork is stellar and it feels/plays amazing. Also, I got it for cheap, so quite honestly, I'm good with it regardless...
