I was also going to do an NBD. But I need verify if the neck I got locally is a legit replacement bass neck because I could not find it on Fender site anymore. Mine is all maple also with white binding. Your post saves me from making another post.

I played some 70s styles that have the punch and growl and looking for


What kind of also play some 70s that are very thin and brittle
And I played some 60s that are just thunderous!

I did my own build for the same reasons to get a Bass how I wanted it and didn't want to wait up to 2 years for a C.S. build much less paying thousands more than what I built this Bass for!

I did use as many genuine Fender parts as possible right down to using screws sold in Fender packaging with few custom mods like an Ebony neck, matched Headstock, and series/parallel switching.

Well, I bought it off an eBay seller for a really good price.....however, I too question if it's legit or not. Most U.S. Fenders don't have the truss rod access like that. Good news is that the fretwork is stellar and it feels/plays amazing. Also, I got it for cheap, so quite honestly, I'm good with it regardless...
