New Fender LT Interfaces

They are simply Presonus interfaces renamed. Here is my bible regarding audio interfaces/low latency/efficiency: Invalid Link Removed

The Presonus Quantum Thunderbolt line is now defunct but it was their best one at the 2020 turnaround.

The LT2 is the same as the Presonus Quantum HD 2, the newer « Quantum » USB line, nothing in common performance and latency wise with the Quantum Thunderbolt interfaces. My opinion obviously…

For the record, I own a Quantum TB2 old model 2632 and a newer TB3 Quantum 2626. Great interfaces, in my opinion.

For my office computer setup, I got a Motu M2 back in fall 2025. I can’t comment on the performance or the low latency as it’s only used for computer playback (iTunes, YouTube, etc…).

Personnally, I would go with the M2.

***Good performance at low latencies is only useful if you monitor your signal with virtual effects through the computer. Almost all audio interfaces have direct monitoring facilities bypassing the computer but your sound will be « dry », unless you use pedals before…
