Double Bass New Gallien Krueger MB combos 2012

Looks like Gallien Krueger has a new 2012 lineup with updates to the MB line. I am particularly interested in the MB110. The MB112 sounded really nice, but I still want something with a smaller footprint and the MB110 might just do it! Any of you guys hear anything about them yet? I have some emails out to suppliers I deal with frequently so I'll update when I hear anything.

I spent a good amount of time today trying to find info on them(in between practice sessions of course ;) ), and I still can't find anything. I haven't heard back from anyone yet that has any info either. We shall see! I am pretty interested in the tiny MB110.

I hope it has all the same controls as the MB115. I went for the MB115 rather than the MB112, even though I might have preferred the smaller speaker, because the 112 didn't have separate gain and master controls. Not that I'm not happy with the MB115, but a smaller amp is handy on some occasions.

Hmmm. MB110 or MB112? Tough to decide if I want one for strictly low volume/low footprint stuff or one that may be able to dabble with some light drumming. I already have the 212 to cover the loud end of the spectrum.

This is very true, but then I used to gig with a 200MB and it was only 100 watts. I used it mostly for casuals and clubs, but I combined it with the powered extension they built for the 200MK when played larger venues. You are right though, that there are newer amps like the Genz Benz provide more power and EQ at a higher price point. The MB's have really come down in price since the first ones were built.

Keep in mind, you can pair up any of the MB combos with GK's matching powered enclosures. I really liked the sound and layout of the MB110. It would make a great practice or low volume gig combo on its own, and you could add one or more of their powered enclosures for bigger gigs.

if I'm not mistaking I dont think the 110 is able to chain out to the new powered cabs ,according to the youtube video at namm 2012 at least theres not one with the 110 like there is with the other combos.you can check on it for yourself I could be wrong??:hmm:
