I'm going to try and play one before I get my knickers in a twist. Who knows, it could be really sweet.

  5. Hey, the Japanese will buy it. It looks like a Mosrite.

I convert 4 string Rickenbackers to 5 string basses.
Well it least it won't neck dive like some of the Gibson designs do. It would look better in black or white or red or even natural.

I like it. It is refreshing to see Gibson not use mahogany in one of their basses.

Sure does look like a Mosrite. Though it no doubt is built, sounds and plays better than the vintage Mosrite basses.

Good point. Other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it. To me, Gibson has always been a guitar company that occasionally makes a bass - which is usually a copy of one of their guitars.

But this looks like a solid, affordable instrument. Maybe it plays and sounds great.

Wow, tough crowd...I think it looks sweet. Not exactly sure what "all-of-the-problems" are...

Humorously, Sweetwater shows it in Black, White, and Natural. No Red, though - sorry!

    It's a American made bass
