OK, just because I am feeling benevolent and want to help another dude out, I will let you in on a secret that only the priveleged few know: Look her straight in the eye, and with confidence and without hesitation, tell her you have a nine inch nuclear powered submarine that you want her to see. Works every time, I swear! :D:D:D

Seriously, I knew a drummer that remarked that he had "lasted' three hours once, and the girls wouldn't leave him alone the rest of the night!

I'm not qualified to give advice, but what worked for me was just to simply keep eye contact and talk about whatever I felt passionate about. Most girls can spot an "act" a mile away, and know when you are being sincere. Don't brag about yourself, but once in a while, throw in something good that you did as if it was no big deal, and then move on. They remember this stuff! And if they say something, remember what they said! If you can't carry on a conversation with her, forget it, you have to connect somewhere. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but before you leave, heck, what have you got to lose, mention that submarine.....!

I used to feel that way. I never wanted kids, especially someone else's. Most of my friends that had kids seemed to be struggling to make ends meet, and never had money to do anything. They would say "Oh, but it's all worth it!" I thought yeah, that's what you're telling yourself because you have no choice.

It wasn't until my daughter was born that I saw the truth. When you watch your kid change from day to day, week to week, and year to year as they grow, and you realize the power you have to shape the life of another human being and guide them to be the kind of person you wish YOU could be, ...yes, the sacrifices are worth it. When you they share a new discovery they have made with you, sometimes you can learn as much as you teach. When you see how little regard some people have for the welfare of a child, and the abuse some kids endure, if you have a shred of humanity in you, you will be outraged.

Yes, I have had plenty of girls in the past try to trap me in order to help them support their kids. You can't blame them, like I said, you will do anything for your kids. One has to look objectively, however, and see if there is a pattern of poor choices. Is someone or something else always to blame?

Those the ones to run from.

Pfft!!!!! New parent propaganda ;)

I have 3 and have come to realize that this is all part of the conspiracy to get humans to procreate. If the truth of having three kids 4, 2 and 1 and the day to day chaos and lunacy it caused got out we would have legal child limits like China. :hiding:

I suppose my perspective might be different. I only have one kid, and now she's nine, so the days of diapers and temper tantrums are far enough in the past that I've forgotten somewhat how trying it was at times.

Don't worry, you will also lose enough of your mind that forgetting will be easy for you too. :hyper: :D
