I'm betting its the bubble font.. remember the cheaper parts tend to give the tall fonts. a basser sound.but I have a feelling that this is going be prime mod falter. some resisters and bigger caps. possibly?

I hope they'll be available across the pond soon. Actually there's a SUF Civil War on its way to me right now. Looking forward to A/B them.

I can tell you right now the SUF will beat it like the redheaded stepchild of a rented mule and I've never even seen or heard the new EHX.

Still though, I'm very curious...maybe I'm wrong!

It is based on the tall font. From Reddit:

"The main Big Muff I based this on is a Tall Font version. However, it was compared to a Bubble Font Green Russian (pictured) and it sounded better. There are variations in sound even within the different eras of Green Russian Big Muff."

sounded is subjective..

these are a couple of the best muffs I've heard.. i like the one with gold knobs

The new Muff is really interesting - as I said before, EHX is killing it this year!!!

Interesting, just I was about to save up for a new fuzz. I'm not certain it's going to be all that good, but for that price, it's difficult to complain. Still, if I'm going to replace my Deluxe Bass Muff, I want something that's actually a significant improvement (plus over my regular NYC guitar muff modded with a blend knob).

I absolutely agree with the SUF statement. These pedals can compete neck to neck with the very best original Russian Muffs. I've done these shootouts and was not amused considering the obscene price of the original Russian Muffs. The Stomp Under Foot Civil war or Green Russian are epic pedals. Also in a slightly different genre the Dirty Rooster (first series) remain my absolute favorite to this day.

Also preordered. Looking forward to comparing it to the Way Huge Russian which I like a lot. I used the Way Huge a lot on the last album I recorded. I recorded two guitar tracks with lower gain and two track with the Russian, you get the clarity from the low gain tracks but the big burly tones from the muff.
