New guy from DownEast

Hey guys! Just want to introduce myself. I'm currently learning how to play and am having a blast so far.
Bought my first bass a couple days ago, it's a Traben Chaos. Really a beautiful guitar, and I do admit I bought it mostly for the looks.... lol. Can't seem to find any info on it tho. Doesn't say where it's made on it, and it doesn't look like any of the current Chaos models offered. Looks more like a Phoenix?
Borrowing a friends practice amp for now, gonna pick one up soon so he can have his back. Not exactly sure what to get yet tho. Will probably just find something used for now.

  • Amps - 15 watts for practice - new $120.
  • Gigging amps - 150 to 200 watts - new $300 +. I've never played anywhere I needed more than 200 watts. Even out doors, if you need more than 200 watts, there will be a sound man and you can plug into his system.
  • Sound - don't worry about how they sound right now, that will come later.

I use a 15 watt for a small church and just leave it at the church. That 15 watts is fine for the size of that room. My point; just a little over $100 will be fine for starting out.

Welcome to the bottom end.

Welcome to the forum, Doughty207! New here myself just looking around. I just got back into playing again with some guys and I've been using the guitarists crate combo amp. Not sure of the model, but I think it has 1 12" speaker in it. Perfect for practice and I've even taken it to a handful of small gigs. Really like the look of that bass! Never heard of it myself but I'm sure someone on here has. See ya around!
