Hey guys Im new here just popped in to say hey ! looks like a great forum hope to learn as much as possible, I just bought my first guitar, and it is a bass, Ive always wanted to learn it for some reason in my 32 years on this planet it aint happend yet but I finally made the decision that it WILL happen 
, I found and bought a Peavy T40 at a pawn shop they wanted $250 I offered $150 they said $170, I asked does it work they said plug it in, so I did and it did it sounds so cool, I then found another pawn shop that had a Fender rumble 60 it had been marked down form the tag of $175 to $150 I offered $125 out the door cash he said show me the money! then I went to GC bought a couple sets of strings and a tuner and for less than $400 I got a cool set up I think I think I got a good deal at least I hope so! 
the bass has a number on the back "00718304" does anyone know what that means? well anyways glad to be here, hope to contribute as much as I learn, talk to yall later
