New Guy Here with an Ibanez SR505

Just got a used Ibanez SR505. Pumped to have a 5 string as my first official bass. I have been borrowing my brother's Fender Player Series Jazz on and off for many years (i'm still a terrible player), but he decided to sell it on me .
The 505 is in fairly rough condition although fully functional; so i might need some help with the repairs/restoration, that's mainly why i joined the forum!

Let me suggest you keep your repairs to those necessary to keep the bass playable. The rest is mojo. It’s pretty easy to “upgrade” a bass well beyond what another instrument would cost and what is recoverable in resale.

The finish is what i would like to repair, not really looking to upgrade anything. Thankfully since it's a natural wood finish, rather than paint it should be relatively easy and inexpensive to fix.
