New guy to the forum

Hi guys, my name is Daniel, and I'm a new guy to the forum. I've been lurking for a while mainly looking for some repair information, and some things that I gleened from this site helped me get my Kramer DMZ4001 back in business.

I also came here looking for information about Mustang basses as I really like that sound, and as a guitarist, I wanted a short scale bass for when I switch back and forth between instruments. I'm a songwriter, and when I want to get ideas down fast, it's great that I can play bass when the bass player in my band isn't around.

So last week I wound up buying a Mustang Vintera bass. And again this forum came to my rescue when I wanted to find out if these basses are generally noisy. Mine was, but I read some threads here where people talked about shielding theirs, so I did the same, and boom now it's much quieter.

So thanks for helping me out :)

Hi Daniel, welcome to Talkbass! Do you have any pix of your Kramer? My very first bass ever was a Kramer Pioneer JJ, black with maple neck & fingerboard, bought brand new in 1985!
Here ya go...
