Welcome. Looks to me like you've got a talent for spotting good investments too. Wonderful collection.
Yeah but back in the 40's and 50's there were very limited options and everything was relatively much more expensive.

Well, ya done good I'd say! I've got 15 and I'm quite jealous of a few of thoseHere is a quick snap shot of what I have![]()
I picked up a bass for the first time with no prior musical training last April, so it's been just a smidge over a year for me. Great fun, isn't it?
I only have 4 basses, though. I'm GASing pretty hard for #5, though (Ray34 black ash), but we'll see.
However, I am up to 11 pedals, not counting tuners.
I saw a thread about a new guy and was going to log in and say "hello," but I saw his collection of basses along the way.
I hate you.
(Welcome. You will learn a lot here, but don't let us override YOUR wants/needs.)

Seven basses in your first year? Wow! Thats way more hardcore than anyone else I know.![]()
You’ll fit in just fine around here. Welcome to TB.![]()
It's sure starting to look that way. You folks have some very impressive collections.
Out of curiosity, what basses do you have? I somehow get the feeling you were fairly selective and didn’t just go out and buy on a whim.
