Well that was promising until I read the 1200 mA total and no dedicated 18.... weird. 1spot is 1700mA. My guitarist is looking for a power supply, but he has a Timeline and a Mobius that both require 400 mA, so thats 2/3rds of the Hardwire without counting his midi controller (300) plus a host of other pedals.

First, you're crazy if you use anything other than the 1Spot. It's great, small and NOT $300.

Second, I doubt that the Strymons actually pull 300mA. This figure is commonly over stated. If I had one of them I'd check it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was far lower.

i think many others would disagree about the difference in their sound by using an isolated power supply over a 1spot.

I use two one spots but I also have two other wall warts for things that need either 12 or 18v. I have to have a full power strip mounted under my pedaltrain. Long term I'd like to have isolated grounds as well but I've been fortunate so far. It's not very crazy to want one box that does it all.

They had me at 10 power spots...but lost me at $300...I could just buy another voodoo power supply

There's no way it'll actually cost the "suggested retail price", though I agree that it doesn't seem to offer much (or maybe anything?) that a PP2+ doesn't...

Let's make something that costs twice as much as the other thing that does the same thing but make it less versatile.

I normally love Hardwire stuff, but...yeeesh.

Yep, the price is too high. Otherwise I'm sure it's a killer product. The Hardwire series are built like tanks.

My little Gator power supplies have three dedicated 18v outlets each and fit under any board.
