New interface to record bass

I have my old Scarlett gen 2 still going on but few problems keeps me looking for a new interface like cracking noise in headphones output. The monitor/headphones knob also have pops and noise when I turn it. Sometimes not sounds at all when turning it. So what new interface I can get to record bass/guitar and keyboard. I will recording bass with mic and direct.

Another Scarlett? Other interface?

I just record my own band. Nothing more.

I've been using the FocusRite Scarlet 2i2 gen 2 for years without problems. With the system powered off, can you exercise the controlls back and forth repeatedly to remove any internal oxidation? Like with bass guitars, it often works to clear up any scratchyness.

To move up to a better interface, The Universal Audio Apollo is a fantastic, low latency device. It is also more costly.
