Double Bass new kid....any ideas???

so im new to this forum.. alittle about myself, im a senior in highschool and i need to adition for collage in a few months and i have no idea what music to audition with... i fell in love with the double bass at a jazz festival my band went to a few years ago and i bought one the next month... nothing special just a palitino 3/4
anyways i started playing it in jazz band and i got my first bow last x mas and now i have to learn somthing good for a collage thing... grr anyone know any good pieces that would work well for this?? like look good but not overwhelm me????

What kind of program are you looking at (jazz, classical, etc.) and what schools are you interested in? The level of competency and the repertoire you might use to show it will vary dramatically depending on where you want to go.

im looking more into jazz but i love classical music as well. i will be auditioning to BSU and UOI in idaho.
