I put Sadowsky style knobs on my Skjold 6 when I had it refinished. It had normal aluminum knurled knobs before, which looked fine too.

I do like the position indicator lines on the new ones. What an easy upgrade.

RE Knobs: It's better to feel good than to look good.

I remember reading 40 years or so ago where there was a guy at Rolls Royce whose job was to test
switches for feel. The toggles had to feel just right and the ignition key cylinder too.
I don't know if its true but is is very Rolls Royce (british).

Maybe he was afraid his bass would be too loud and over drive his amp.

You only need to turn the ones on your compressor up to 11 to limit those peaks.
