New La Bella "Stang" Short Scale Series

The nylon wound set is 50-105. Aside from being thinner, I'm interested in if there's any construction differences between the new set and the standard medium gauge set.
I’ve been itching for a new Mustang and now I have a reason to pull the trigger: So I can try all of these string sets!
Skip the Mu , just Stang !

Will these Stang flats simply be the pre-existing set for Mustang Through Body repackaged? They're 43-60-82-104.

The flat wound set is the same strings with new packaging. Everything else is new/modified for Mustang. I'd like to see an LTF set, but also, I just use medium scale LTFs.
The super polished looks cool, most of these should work on a top-load 30" bass despite what LaBella says as plenty of makers wind strings with 34" total length for both short and medium scale basses (i.e. Curt Mangum, DR, etc.).
La Bella nylon tape is @ 7 thou thick, which adds a total of @14-15 thou to the diameter of the strings, but no appreciable extra mass, and therefore no appreciable extra tension. So the tension of a set of Stang 50-105 tapes is similar to an extra-light set of conventional 35-90 rounds. How they can actually hold any pitch or stability with such low tension this involves is beyond me. if you want to know what they will feel like, string a regular 34-inch bass with a similar set of either 50-105 tapes or 35-90 rounds, tune the entire bass down to D standard, which will be @ 25% less tension, then capo the bass at the 2nd fret. That is how loose they are.

I just ordered a set of super polished for my Paranormal Rascal. I liked them on my PBass well enough but I need that one back with rounds. So these will replace the JMJ set that are currently on there.
Maybe the nlyon is 10 thou . Giving an underlying gauge of 95 for E1. At 30” scale that would equate to around 25lbf for an XL nickel round for example. Rotosound does the Swing Bass 66 .085 for E1 with a tension of just 26.4lbf at 34” scale. 25lbf is probably at the very edge of tuning stability imho

My am performer mustang doesn’t get along with low tension sets.
I have DTF-MUS on there now. Would there be any difference with these in the standard Flatwound? Maybe this series is just offering other string choices since mustangs and similar seem to be more popular now?

Same product code (760F-MUS), same strings, different packet sleeve.
I have measured the nylon thickness on all of the current offerings of La Bella tapes, all four varieties and both gauges of each variety, save for the new Stang. They are all the same. There is no reason why La Bella would change their formulation. The gauges are the same as their regular long scale light gauge nylon tapes. Underneath the nylon tape are a set of rounds which are roughly the same as a conventional set of 35-90. The difference will be the taper of the ball end that La Bella does for the string-through anchor as on their better known 760F-MUS.

I believe it is because other short scales through body distance tends to run a bit longer than the Mustang through body distance.I just ordered a set of the Super Polished for my Squier. I wonder why these wouldn't work on other string thru 30" scale basses tho?

FWIW mine are on a Nash. Also, I sure bet they work on Olinto MBs.lol

I think they're just trying to avoid complaints or returns for people trying them on anything but a Mustang and having issues.
