Just got a Cmd121 combo and was wondering just how much the speaker is supposed to move. Was using it tonight and though it didn't sound like it was struggling, the speaker seemed to move alarmingly much.volume and gain only at noon. Is this normal?

My literature says the speaker is actually 400watts. Haven't pushed it by itself (always with an extension on louder gigs) hard enough to find out though.
that's the safe bet. i could never get my amp turned up to its highest clean levels without the cab sounding like it would explode anyway. the speaker itself will take 400w before it goes thermal, but i doubt i could turn it up to half that before the cab went crazy from vibration.

Dudes & Dudettes,
I'm not color blind. I know it's on the darker side.....but the Markbass stuff (for the most part) is YELLOW!!!

Look at the "Orange" brand amps. Now that's orange.

I only called it Orange cause I was using it to that effect at a basketball game in pep band where we're the tigers and our colors are Orange and black. Sorry I hit a sore spot.

Not sore. It just cracks me up how many call that "orange". :p

Speaking of the MarkBass color scheme, I'm not especially crazy about it myself, although I do enjoy my Little Mark II.

Anyway, this got me to thinking about alternative colors, so I spent a little time playing around in photoshop. I would prefer a more subdued, traditional appearance :ninja: but I had fun messing around with the pics.

The stock unit is in the upper left. Apologies in advance for any eye strain caused by the hot pink or flourescent green:
