New member and a new Bass,

I wanted to introduce myself and my latest Bass. I am very new to playing Bass and started 1 year ago. It's a hobby as I work 50 hours a week but I love it and am practicing as much as possible.
I found a group to jam with once a week and that has helped push me to play more difficult songs.

I got a used RBX170 with a soft case for 100 and people I play with say it sounds very nice but I have wanted to try a short scale as I am a lady and my hands are smaller than probably most of you.

I do have a UBass I got for practicing on trips and it is fun as I can even play it while sitting in the passenger seat in our little hatchback as it is nice and small.

But now I have treated myself. I found a short scale that also fills my admiration of Sir Paul. Yes, that's correct, I got a Hofner violin HCT.
It was on the Goodwill site along with a Club Cavern HCT. I tried to get the club but it went for 150 more so I instead got the Violin.

I have read how tricky they are to set up, but thank goodness to all of you on here who have posted tips and links to great How To videos.

I got it for a really good price but sight unseen other than these pics, so hopefully I did well.
Well anyway, I can't wait to play it.
Expect to hear questions from me as I continue on the LONG journey of progressing on the bass.
