New member from VA

Hello all, new member from Virginia here! I've been lurking for a few months and finally decided to join.

My parents bought me an acoustic guitar for my 16th birthday, I strummed on it for a few months then decided to switch to bass guitar. My first setup was an Ibanez GSR200FM and Crate BT50. I really had no idea what I was doing, but it was fun.

Fast forward and now I'm in my 30's and was looking to get back into it as a simple hobby. I acquired a SBMM SUB Ray4 and an Ampeg Micro-CL. I threw some flats on it to try and capture some of that Cliff Williams sound. I also picked up a Squier P-bass and put some stainless steels on it for some Blink-182/Green Day type stuff. I also recently acquired a Fender Rumble 100 that I am falling in love with.

Anyway, for right now I simply enjoy kicking back and covering songs I like, nothing serious. Maybe in the future I'll look into getting lessons or practicing with other musicians. But I look forward to drawing on the knowledge and wisdom of some of the more experienced bassists here!
