I’m a member of TDPRI as well, as I have a Telecaster....Bass that is!
Also noodle around on guitar as well- have been acquiring too many basses and guitars now I guess, but you know the old theorem,

“ If “x” equals the number of guitars you own, and “F” is the optimal number of guitars, then F = x+1”

Looking to get a plain Jane Tele guitar presently.

My latest bass acquisition is a mint green Ibanez Talman TMB-100 with a maple fretboard- I plan to throw a set of Rotosound black tapewounds on it soon- I’ll post a pic now, and another thread later with the strings- I’ve just been doing the “mess around” on it with the stock roundwound strings- I’m really a flatwound guy, so it’s a bit zingy!

Also have a couple of Fenders (Classic 60s Jazz, and the 68 Telecaster in my avatar) a Squier VM Jaguar (long scale p/j with stacked V/T knobs) and an Epiphone EB-3 in the cherry finish-
I’m in a local “Rez” band out here on Najajo Nation in Northern Arizona- we are all healthcare professionals with the IHS (Indian Health Service- agency of Federal Government). Doctors, Optometrists, Nurse Practitioners and Pharmacists (me and my wife- she plays rhythm guitar- lefty)

Well I’m glad to finally be on board. This site is awesome, and I usually find answers to any questions I have- it will be nice to be able to contribute and comment on all the great stuff here!

    Cheers! Carl (C-Note) E.

congrats on finally saying hello, former lurker :)

i think that color of talman is my fave, and i bet tapewounds will sound great on it. btw, i see an egnater peeking out at us - is that what you'll be playing your bass through?

my husband plays guitar, too - also a lefty, but he plays righty.

Naw- that’s the wife’s rig- 12” Egnator cab with the Orange Micro Terror 20watt head- So Cute!....but plenty of power for our needs!
I have modest amps- a Fender Rumble 40watt- sounds great, robust EQ and OD, along with an XLR our- good for small gigs, open mics etc.
also an Ampeg Micro-Cl 100 watt stack with the 2x10” cab- light, portable, and loud enough for a bit larger or outdoor gigs/ we do a few block parties etc and a few community 5km events etc etc-

thanks for the shout out! I’m Loving that Ibanez bass so far! And those “Project Mercury” colors are the Best! Have a Sonic Blue Jazzmaster (Squier) and the metallic Sherwood Green CV 50s strat with the AlNiCo III pickups- with matching painted headstock!
Daphne Blue, Dakota Red and Lake Placid Blue are on my list as well- No Candy Apple Red for me- too many out there!...
