Hi! I've been browsing the forums for little over 2 weeks now and decided to join! I've Been playing violin for 3 years and i'm probably going to buy my first electric bass to fiddle around with.

I bought a $100 fiddle while on vacation a few years ago and found that this $100 fiddle had cats living in it. Could not get them to leave so I gave it to a friend and he had the same problem. Had fun messing around with the fiddle, the bass will be a little different.

Melody, harmony and rhythm; the bass takes care of the rhythm and harmony. Right at first leave the melody to the melody instruments. Yes, like any instrument our bass does play melody, but, that is not our primary job.
