New MXR pedals

Just to clarify, it's dead quiet when the pedal is engaged until you play a note through it. There's noise reduction circuitry built into the pedal and so you won't hear the noise until you start playing with the pedal engaged.

Some people have had to use headphones. Myself (being a trained audio engineer) and others who are not have been able to pick it out without the use of headphones. We're also talking about all knobs at noon. If you have the treble below noon, you might not here it.

in my set up the bass chorus is always on (engaged) and i dont hear any noise ... i havnt tried it with headphones on though but seems to be working awesome for me so far :bassist:

So I received my Bass Chorus Deluxe back from Dunlop today and they replaced the PCA board in it. There's no difference in the pedal. Anything with the treble set at noon or above is just too noisy.

I have to assume the rest that don't hear it must have the treble turned down on the pedal, your amp, or have the tweeters turn down or off.

I don't have my settings anywhere near maxed out, but in flanger mode having the treble anywhere above 11 o'clock is bad. The chorus I can at least turn the treble to 2 o'clock and only have a very small amount of hiss. Again, I have to state that the pedal is completely quiet when engaged without playing anything through it. I think people miss the point that I'm trying to say it's not until you play notes through it that your hear the hiss. At any rate, I managed to come up with a setting that I'm happy with in both chorus and flanger modes even though the treble knob is useless above noon.

I spent some time today with both of the new pedals today.
While using the chorus I experienced what others have heard with the hissing whilst playing.
It was really quite noticeable on most settings. I will try again in a different environment, as it was a quite noisy bass show - slappers, and generally unnecessary volumes!
But if I had the ability to buy it today- I would have passed
The overdrive left me cold. It had a definite fuzzy character to it. Again I'd like to try it in a quieter environment.
